Amid growing military and political tensions in the Middle East, several countries are intensifying diplomatic efforts to reduce regional conflicts and strengthen security. According to China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 2, China’s Special Envoy for Middle Eastern Affairs, Zhai Jun, is planning visits to Iran, Oman and Saudi Arabia. The main objectives are to promote peace negotiations and reduce tensions in the region. In addition, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held meetings in Beijing with senior representatives of Iran and Saudi Arabia. The discussions focused on regional security and the political settlement of ongoing conflicts. Qatar is also continuing its mediation efforts to ease disagreements between the United States and Iran. The country is working to coordinate proposals between the parties and create favourable conditions for further negotiations. Overall, diplomatic initiatives by China, Qatar and other countries aim to promote peaceful solutions and strengthen stability in the Middle East.
